Nicole Schroeer, M.Ed., BCBA
A behavioral approach looks at the functions of behavior. “WHY do people do what we do?” The goal is not to simply reduce a behavior, but to help individuals to gain access to what they need in ways that are safe, successful, and offer the best quality of life for clients, and the people who love them.
As a seasoned practitioner, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles and environments, and with skilled professionals from fields outside of behavior analysis. I believe in a collaborative approach to treatment, and work to ensure that interventions are appropriate and implementable across environments and practitioners and family members.
Areas of specialty include:
- Clients with ID/DD, ASD, Deaf/HOH, and Multiple Disabilities
- Proficient in ASL
- Reduction of aggressive behavior, self-injurious behaviors, and avoidance/non-compliance
